New Vertical Storage System at Charmhaven

The latest addition to the Charmhaven facility includes an integrated door production line, commissioned by Crossmuller. The line consists of a raw board storage system supplied by Bargstedt, an angular saw supplied by Holzma, a Flexline edgebander as well as conveyors, a Vertical Accumulator and robot storage warehouse designed and built by Crossmuller’s Automation team.

Crossmuller’s Automation and Software Integration divisions are continuously innovating and enhancing warehousing systems, and the latest revolutionary machine is no exception. The new Vertical Storage System is a robotic vertical panel management system that completely transforms the operation, functionality, and success of any facility.

The Vertical Storage System is designed, engineered, and manufactured in Australia. With various configuration options, the system can be tailored to suit everyone. Containing a modular structure, the system can expand depending on the size and manufacturing capacity of the facility. The storage design can be operated unmanned for 24 hours a day, eliminating damage to decorative materials through manual handling, with the capability to manage 500-2000 parts at a time.

Finished Panels

White HMR carcass material and MDF colour panel doors can be automatically barcode scanned directly to the Vertical Storage System to be stored then arranged into cabinet lots and retrieved in order of choice e.g. job number, box type, kitchen lot etc, directly to the assembly line.

Management Software

Daily or hourly production can easily be optimised for effective and efficient delivery times, essentially saving valuable floor space, and eliminating trolleys cluttering facility floors.
