Addition of Two Wemhoner Short Cycle Press Lines

Crossmuller commissioned two turnkey Wemhoner Short Cycle press lines for the Australian Panels Somersby plant in 2018. These press lines are designed to handle quicker machine configuration changes compared to existing press lines, allowing for a more efficient operation.

The Wemhoner is a heat press, designed to bond treated paper onto MDF and particleboard. The introduction of two new lines will enhance manufactured decorative board capacity and maintain state-of-the-art technology and innovation.

One of the key features of this project was the seamless integration between the press line in-feed and out-feed and the Pack Store Warehouse System. Driven by orders from the Dynamics AX ERP system, raw materials are automatically delivered from the warehouse to the in-feed of the presses, and finished boards are turned to the warehouse to be available for customer order picking.
